Alyssa Ebinger is a Tamarind-trained Collaborative Lithographer and a certified Tamarind Master Printer with a rich background in printmaking and fine arts. She earned her BS in Art Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead and, in 2016, left her position as a high school art teacher to pursue her MFA at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), where she focused on lithography, ceramics, drawing, and sculpture.
Accepted into Tamarind Institute’s renowned Printer Training Program for 2019-2020, Ebinger achieved the esteemed title of Tamarind Master Printer. She continued her collaborative printing education as Tamarind’s Frederick Hammersley Apprentice Printer in 2020-2021. Following her apprenticeship, she served as Master Printer at Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking in Austin, TX, from 2021 to 2024, where she worked extensively across lithography, copper plate etching, relief, and monotype, collaborating with artists such as Ellen Lesperance, Paula Wilson, Rose B. Simpson, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, and many others.
Ebinger continues her printmaking practice and serves as Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts’ Interim Master Printer, splitting her time between Pendleton, OR and her home in Amityville, NY.
