Crow’s Shadow Pop-Up Gallery For Round-Up

Date on

PENDLETON, Oregon—Crow’s Shadow is pleased to announce that we will be sharing our work in a Pop-Up gallery downtown during the Pendleton Round-Up from Wednesday the 14th through Saturday the 17th. Earlier this year Jordan Schnitzer, a major arts supporter and long-time Round-Up visitor, purchased an old bank building located at 256 S. Main, right in the heart of downtown Pendleton. While Schnitzer is developing a long-term plan for the building, he has invited Crow’s Shadow to use it as a temporary exhibition space during this year’s Round-Up. The Crow’s Shadow Pop-Up Gallery will feature a variety of works from our permanent collection including prominent regional, contemporary Native American artists such as James Lavadour and Wendy Red Star, and local artists including Whitney Minthorn, Susan Sheoships and Jeremy Red Star Wolf.

The Crow’s Shadow Pop-Up  Gallery will be open from Wednesday through Saturday in the evenings from 2:00-8:00 pm. Along side the art show, three local wineries will be doing wine tastings in the same space. Crow’s Shadow Executive Director, Karl Davis, states: “We hope to share with visitors to the Round-Up a small sample of the creative community Pendleton has to offer. Round-Up happens once a year, but Pendleton is making things all year long. We are eager to open new eyes to the great things happening at Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts”.
