Crow's Shadow would like to acknowledge a generous $500 donation made by Jordan Schnitzer in memory of Cayuse Chief Jesse Jones Jr. In his letter, Schnitzer notes, "Over my years being involved with the Pendleton Round-Up and attending Tribal events, I was always impressed by his demeanor. He had a presence about him that honored the legacy of his Tribe and the Indian Nation."
The January issue of the Confederated Umatilla Journal includes a wonderful article about Jones' life by Wil Phinney. Jones passed on in December of 2020, at the age of 80. Crow's Shadow Institute of the Arts is grateful for this tribute to Jones' life and sends our heartfelt condolences to his family.
