Deadline to apply is March 1, 2017
Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts has partnered with the Roundhouse Foundation of Sisters, Oregon to offer a unique opportunity to two artists in Central Oregon. Each of the selected participants will be awarded a $1,000 traveling stipend and up to four days of studio time at Crow’s Shadow (a $2,000 value). The artist will receive instruction from our Tamarind Master Printer, learn new printmaking techniques, and have 24-hour access to the studio during their fellowship in order to work on new or existing art projects. Crow’s Shadow specializes in photosensitive metal plate lithography, but also has the capacity to offer relief and monotype printing techniques.
Following the completion of the fellowship at CSIA, participating artists will be encouraged to teach or host a learning opportunity for their home community. Participating artists will be required to retain at least one work of art produced during their time at Crow’s Shadow, to be included in a future exhibition, and will be required to meet (via phone or in person) with Roundhouse representative(s) to report on the CSIA learning model. These requirements will be administered at the discretion of the Roundhouse Foundation.
